Frequently asked questions about physiotherapy
Q: Is physiotherapy covered by my insurance?
A: It depends on the type of coverage that you have. It is best to call the provider and ask for this information as all health plans are different.
Q: Do I need a doctor's referral?
A: You do not need a referral to come for physiotherapy. However, if you have a health plan and wish to use the coverage, it is best to find out whether your provider requests a referral in order to activate your coverage.
Q: Are you a registered physiotherapist?
A: Yes. My registration number will be recorded on your receipts.
Q: How does payment work?
A: Each session is paid for upon completion and then you are responsible for submitting your receipts to your insurance company for
reimbursement.
Q: How many treatments will I need?
A: A comprehensive physiotherapy assessment must be performed in order to determine the approximate number of treatments that will be required. |
